- Each account shows the plan its login says it is on, such as
Max 20x,Team 5xor
Profor Claude Code andPlusorProfor Codex. The window shows it as a tag beside
the account's name, the menu after the name, as in work · Team 5x, and VoiceOver
says it after the name.pitboardshows it in a dim column after the address, there
only when some account has a plan.pitboard --jsongives it asplan, nullwhere no
login Pitboard read for the account said one. Pitboard records the plan on the account
when it enrols it and each time a read sees its login, so a read that asks nothing, such
aspitboard status --offline, shows it too. A read sends nothing more anywhere to learn
it: Claude Code's login keepssubscriptionTypeandrateLimitTier, and Codex's ID
token keepschatgpt_plan_type. - An install script puts the command line on macOS and Linux without Homebrew or Rust:
curl -fsSL https://usepitboard.com/install.sh | sh. It downloads the release's tarball
for the machine, checks it against the SHA-256 written into the script when the release
was made, and installspitboardin~/.local/bin, with its man page and completions
under~/.local/share.PITBOARD_INSTALL_DIRnames another folder, and theshare
folder beside it takes the rest. It edits no shell profile: when the folder is not on
PATH, it prints the command that puts it there. Run it again to update. It refuses to
run as root or under sudo, where Pitboard changes nothing. Each release carries its own
copy, attested like its other files, at
https://github.com/datlechin/pitboard/releases/download/v<version>/install.sh.
