Shared configuration and registry credentials now follow a workload to every location it is placed in, workloads can choose an instance type, and shell sessions gain observability.

What's new

  • Shared config and secrets reach every location. A workload placed in several locations now gets its mounted configuration and registry credentials in all of them instead of one. (#391, #417)
  • Instance types. Workloads can select an instance type; omitting it keeps today's default. (#377)
  • Shell session observability. Instance shell sessions emit metrics and a dashboard. (#400)
  • datumctl compute logs. Stream workload logs from the CLI. (#412)
  • Workload URLs survive redeploys. The CLI keeps a workload URL's configuration across deploys. (#395)
  • Portal polish. The Workloads home column matches the portal's other columns; UI library upgraded to 3.4. (#414, #408)

Note

instanceType is now optional on Workloads and WorkloadDeployments. Existing resources keep working without any conversion. Requires the Karmada hub to run with dependency propagation enabled (infra v0.83.279).
