v1.2.1 — localisation & update-check fix
v1.2.1 — small patch on top of v1.2
- Fixed: theme names in Settings are now properly localised (English UI showed Czech names)
- Fixed: version comparison in the update checker (a
x.y.zpatch release would not have been announced to users onx.y)
Everything else is identical to v1.2 — see its notes for the full changelog (MP→SP conversion, readable names, UI themes and more).

v1.2 — MP→SP conversion, readable names, UI themes
v1.2 — Continue your co-op campaign solo ⚔
Note: this release includes everything planned for v1.1 — testing of the v1.2 features finished so quickly that both versions ship together as one release.
✨ New: Multiplayer → Singleplayer conversion (Tools page)
Pick your co-op save, choose which player to continue as, and the tool creates a regular singleplayer save — your faction stays playable, your partners' factions are handed to the AI, and the campaign world carries on exactly where you left off.
- Works with 2+ player campaigns and older-patch saves (verified back to WH3 6.0)
- Works from both host and client copies of the save
- No mod required, nothing installed into the game, no trace in your lobby
- Fun fact: the game hides its "this is a multiplayer campaign" flag in several places — hunting them all down took some serious binary archaeology 🕵️
✨ New: Readable names everywhere
Characters, factions, units and settlements now show their real in-game names (resolved live from your game's localisation packs) instead of wh3_dlc27_nor_sayl keys. Works with any game language.
✨ New: 5 UI themes
Obsidian & Amber · Forge · Parchment & Seal · Dark Parchment · Blood Throne — switch live in Settings, no restart. Plus compact/airy table density, a welcome screen with your recent saves, and JetBrains Mono typography throughout.
✨ New: Update notification
The app now quietly checks GitHub on startup and shows a notice when a new version is available (fails silently when offline — no nagging, no telemetry).
🛠 Improvements
- Army tools: one-click Heal army, Max rank army, Remove unit (with lord/hero protection)
- Converted saves are named after the faction you continue as (editable before saving)
- Danger actions and experimental features are clearly marked in the UI
🐛 Fixes
- Rare "decompressed size mismatch" error that made ~1–2 % of perfectly valid saves fail to load
- Save-folder detection no longer nags singleplayer-only users (thanks lethaltoto for the report!)
- Max rank army no longer touches lords & heroes (their level lives on the character, not the unit)
