A checkup could sit for minutes with only two lines on screen, so a long check looked like a freeze. A follow-up date on a person page was doing two jobs, so a wait looked late the same way a promise you had not kept did. And an earlier update started putting new daily plans in a new inbox folder, so a vault that already kept those plans somewhere else looked like they had moved. Work tools could still appear without starting, and a reminder that happened to say "wrong" could be filed as a lesson you never gave. Mail search checkup could also call a current index broken just because one quiet mailbox had not changed in a day. This release closes those. What this fixes for you:

• Checkup names each step as it starts. You see which check is running, then when Dex is summarizing and saving. If it ever sits still, the last named step is the one to mention.
• When work tools appear but never start, you get the next step. Dex already noticed when Task Manager showed up as available but never actually started. It now says the chat app never started it, tells you to start a new session, and says reinstalling will not start it. Dex still cannot start it for you.
• A wait is not overdue. Person pages now have two dates: one for something you owe, and one for something you are waiting on. Only the date you owe can be overdue. A leftover single follow-up date with no direction is left unmarked until you say which it is.
• Updating Dex no longer moves your daily plans. If your plans already live in a folder you chose, an update keeps writing there. A brand-new Dex folder still uses the inbox location.
• A reminder is not a correction. Dex no longer files a system note or reminder as something you said was wrong. Only your own words count, including a pasted correction. A real correction that arrives alongside a reminder is still saved.
• Mail search checkup no longer calls a current index broken. One quiet mailbox that has not received mail for a day no longer fails the check. Freshness is when mail was last checked, not when Junk last changed. If nothing has been checked at all within a day, the check still says so.
