Version 1.06
New in 1.06 -
- Save As now available, the package title is cleared (but can been seen in a hint).
- When a Package has more than one example, they should be each in a subdirectory below the directory that the ExamplesDirectory points to. This app will flag a single example more than one directory down from the pointed to one BUT if it finds there is more than one example, it does not complain. You do, however, still need manually edit the link when saving each item.
- The App now complains when ever saving a ex-meta file with a non-standard category.
- Its now easier to use the app from the command line. A parameter consisting of a directory (relative or absolute) will open a ex-meta file in that directory if one exists, will go into "new" mode if not.
The zip for Windows, the .tar.gz for Linux, 64bit.
Version 1.07
Just me stuffing about with github versioning, this project is over, conten now in Lazarus.
Release 1.05
This release has several new features -
- The app now manages putting an appropriate entry in the PackageFile (.lpk) that tells Lazarus where to look for an example in a Third Party Package. This is essential to having the example appear in Lazarus's Examples Window.
- The app can now respond to a metadata filename appearing on the command line or being started in a dir containg a metadata file.
Again, compressed binaries for Windows (the zip file) or 64bit Linux (the tar.gz file), download, uncompess, put in a place on your path. Please report any issues.

Release 1.04
Added a new picklist category, ThirdParty.
ExampleMetaData v1.03
A bug fix (sigh) to the an updated version because of user requests to simplify entry of keyword.
Now, when entering keyword, or groups of keywords, no double inverted commas, just put a comma between each group. A group being one or more words. You will see the generated JSON appear under the entry field, may help you understand what is required.
As before, I provide source to build your own or compressed binaries for Linux (.tar.gz) or Windows (.zip). Just uncompress and put the binary somewhere your system can find it. (Windows binary untested but its nothing fancy, should be fine.)

Initial Release
Offered here are some pre-made binaries, so far, only two -
- exmetadata.tar.gz - Linux 64bit, GTK2
- exmetadata0_01.zip - Windows 64bit
I have not bothered to make install packages, its assumed anyone using a tool like this can easily work out how to uncompress the download and put the binary in the right place.
