0.10.2

@davidcoulson davidcoulson released this 19 Oct 15:56

Fixes the package build so assets/ (the plugin icon) is included in the ZIP. v0.10.x releases from earlier today left it out. No other changes.

0.10.0

@davidcoulson davidcoulson released this 26 Sep 14:46

Skips the WebView diagnostics on a Kiosk Satellite agent. An agent (a headless management install on a projector or media box) has no WebView, so the four WebView sensors, the responsiveness verdict, the busy chart and its tile could only read unknown there, and the root renderer probe ran for nothing. The plugin now asks the host whether it is an agent (getHostApi's agent field, Kiosk Satellite 2026.9.83-djc builds from 2026.09.26.1) and leaves all of that out. Any other host, including older ones without the field, behaves exactly as before. CPU, RAM, temperature, top processes and tuning are unchanged.

Falls back to Shizuku when direct root is unavailable, so a Kiosk Satellite reinstall (which changes its UID and invalidates an existing Magisk grant) no longer leaves this plugin reporting nothing but "measuring…" on a rooted panel.

Reads and writes are treated differently because they are: top and /proc sampling works as shell, so diagnostics run on either channel, while the cpufreq/devfreq writes behind CPU/GPU tuning need a genuinely root channel and now say which channel the panel actually has.

0.8.0

@davidcoulson davidcoulson released this 13 Sep 14:20

Publishes the WebView responsiveness verdict (smooth / occasional / janky) as a status tile on Remote Admin's Overview, using SDK 1's publishStatusTile added upstream in 2026.9.46.

Severity follows the classification: smooth is green, occasional warns, janky is an error, and "no measurement yet" is neutral rather than alarming. The existing text sensor is unchanged, and hosts older than 2026.9.46 are treated as hosts without tiles.

0.7.0

Holds a single su session per plugin instead of spawning one process per command, so Magisk grants root once per plugin start rather than on every poll. On a panel this was showing up as a stream of "granted Superuser rights" toasts — twelve a minute from the performance plugin alone, enough that Android was discarding them for exceeding its toast quota.

Exit codes and output behave exactly as before. Commands run in a subshell so one containing exit can't silently kill the session; a timeout or dead shell closes it and the next call opens a clean one. The session ends when the plugin stops.

See CHANGELOG.md for detail.

v0.6.0: Use the host's Readings list; stop duplicating it in status (0.6.0)

Choose a tag to compare

@davidcoulson davidcoulson released this 11 Sep 18:11

Uses the host's new Readings list instead of duplicating measurements in status text, publishes the WebView verdict as its own text sensor, and adds one-decimal precision to the numeric sensors. See CHANGELOG.md.

v0.5.0: Rename to Device Performance, list-format status text (0.5.0)

@davidcoulson davidcoulson released this 11 Sep 13:54

Renamed from CPU Performance Mode / cpu-performance-mode to Device Performance / device-performance — see the README's "Renamed from CPU Performance Mode" section (breaking for existing installs: remove the old plugin and add this repo fresh). Also reformats status text as one reading per line instead of one long dot-joined string. See CHANGELOG.md.

v0.4.1: Fix: stop republishing CPU%/temperature as duplicate entities (0.4.1)

Choose a tag to compare

@davidcoulson davidcoulson released this 11 Sep 12:57

Fixes 0.4.0: removes the sensor.cpu_percent/sensor.temperature entities, which duplicated Kiosk Satellite's own native cpu/cpu_temp entities. This plugin now publishes only the four WebView-related sensors. See CHANGELOG.md.

v0.4.0

Choose a tag to compare

@davidcoulson davidcoulson released this 11 Sep 12:51

Publishes every diagnostics reading as a real Home Assistant sensor entity, plus a compact WebView busy-history chart — resolving both upstream SDK gaps this plugin's README used to document as limitations. See CHANGELOG.md.
