A datetime_range spanning two different years with "Omit Current Year" on (the default, showCurrentYear off) stripped the year from whichever endpoint fell in the current year, producing lopsided output like August 12, 2025–June 1 instead of August 12, 2025 – June 1, 2026. bws_format_date_range now suppresses current-year omission for the whole range when the two endpoints fall in different years — the year is meaningful on both sides. Single-date and same-day ranges are unaffected (no second endpoint / shared year). Help text for the year toggle (showCurrentYear and legacy omit_current_year on range tags) notes the override.
