Release Note: benchmark.f v1.0.0 - The Need for Speed!

🎉 Buckle up, Fortran fans, your code’s about to get a speedometer! 🎉
The benchmark.f library has officially zoomed into its 1.0.0 release! 🚀

What's New?

  • Born to Benchmark: We've unleashed a KISS (Keep It Simple, Speedy) library that lets you benchmark your Fortran functions and subroutines with surgical precision! ⏱️
  • Warm-Up Included: Like a good stretch before a sprint, we handle machine warm-ups so your benchmarks aren't caught napping. 💪
  • System Sleuthing: Collects system and compiler info. 🕵️‍♂️
  • Pretty Tables: Outputs results in neat tables. 📊
  • Compiler Love: Plays nice with Intel Fortran and (mostly) with gfortran—though gfortran might need a pep talk for implicit procedures. Check the docs for the full scoop! 😎

Why v1.0.0?

After countless coffee-fueled coding sessions and a few tussles with preprocessor macros, benchmark.f is ready to escape the lab and help you prove that Fortran is the fastest language on Earth. 🏎️

Get Started

Clone the repo, fire up fpm, and start benchmarking like a pro. Your code deserves to know how fast it really is!
