synchronizing X wm (i3) with bar and sxhkd #563
-
|
Hi, There's really no active place counting as a "dinit" community beside here, which is unfortunate as though the program is mature, stuff doesn't always mesh with it, don't always declare proper initialization. If not for the file descriptor, bar wouldn't open at all. So I know the initlization is done, although not complete as the hotkey daemon still sees qwerty when nothing else does. Thanks for your help ! |

Should likely be
Probably because it depends on
Probably you should start by checking the service output (log file) to see what the error is, I can't really say what's wrong (and I'm not really familiar with the program). |

For sxhkd, this is the worst: nothing in the log. |

But I solved both issue by sending one bit into a given file descriptor. Didn't I could do that manually with the shell.
But I wonder, why the hotkey daemon needs the wm's initialization over the X server's ?
