Getting Started

Got to HomeAssistant/getting-started and review the steps.

HA Raspberry Pi

Download & Burn the image Get a dedicated Raspberry Pi 4 (Pi3 works too) and dedicated SD card for the project. Download the SD card image. Burn to SD card. See the below the writing the image section and figure out which image URL is right for your pi. Mine is Raspberry Pi 4 64-bit.

wget https://github.com/home-assistant/operating-system/releases/download/6.5/haos_rpi4-64-6.5.img.xz

Burn the image to the SD card using Raspberry Pi Imager (other OS) and insert into the Pi.

First Boot

• ha network info
• http://10.47.11.114:8123/
• create a user account and password
• Walk through the wizard.
