Codex Deck v0.6.0
Codex Deck v0.6.0 expands the unofficial Codex Micro-style Stream Deck integration from Windows into a reliable Windows, macOS, or optional dual-computer setup.
Highlights
- Adds a native macOS launcher and persistent LaunchAgent watcher.
- Replaces the Windows one-shot startup launcher with a durable single-instance watcher that recovers after normal Codex restarts, crashes, and updates.
- Supports three independent setups: Windows only, macOS only, or Windows and Mac together.
- Adds an opt-in authenticated SSH/Tailscale relay for mixed global agent slots and native command routing across both computers.
- Keeps each agent key bound to the computer that owns the task while globally ordering the six most recently active tasks.
- Adds a Windows/Mac control-target action, host badges, stable task ownership, and protection against remote-SSH mirror duplicates.
- Preserves all native Micro action, joystick, encoder, reasoning, approval, microphone, and live agent-state behavior.
- Adds separate launcher packages, checksums, and an automated release audit that excludes private state, personal setup markers, and protected keycap SVG contents.
The documented 15-key layout is only a recommended starting point. Every action, position, page, and profile can be customized freely.

For a single computer, install only that platform's launcher. For a Windows + Mac setup, install both launchers and follow docs/MULTI_HOST.md; the Stream Deck software itself only needs to run on the computer physically connected to the Stream Deck.
Node.js 20 or newer is required. Start with the platform guide in docs/WINDOWS.md or docs/MACOS.md.
Local keycap artwork
OpenAI's protected Codex Micro SVG contents are intentionally not distributed. Codex Deck includes its own publishable agent and navigation artwork and can load official keycap SVG files supplied locally by the user. See docs/ICON_SETUP.md.
