Quick Attribute Price Update v3.0.2
Quick Attribute Price Update v3.0.2 (2026-10-24)
Hooks for add-ons. Nothing changes on a store without one. Zen Cart 1.5.8a through 3.0.0, PHP 7.4 through 8.5; no core files changed, no tables, no settings.
New
- Five more notifiers, so an add-on can extend Catalog > Quick Attribute Price Update without editing it: extra data for the rows shown, panels between the search form and the table, extra table columns with their cells, and its own results in the save messages. See
docs/CUSTOMIZING.md. - An add-on's own search fields (named
qapu<letters>_...) are kept through paging and after saving. - Saving posts only the rows you changed, so a full page stays under PHP's
max_input_varswhen an add-on adds columns. Without JavaScript every row still posts and only changed values are written, as before.
Upgrading: copy zc_plugins/QuickAttributePriceUpdate/v3.0.2/ beside your current version folder and click Upgrade in Plugin Manager. No settings or database changes.
Tested on Zen Cart 1.5.8a, 2.0.1, 2.1.0, 2.2.2, 2.3 and 3.0.0-dev. The automated checks run on PHP 7.4 through 8.5.
Quick Attribute Price Update v3.0.1
Quick Attribute Price Update v3.0.1 (2026-10-24)
A fix for stores whose option or value names repeat. Found on a live store the day v3.0.0 came out. Zen Cart 1.5.8a through 3.0.0, PHP 7.4 through 8.5; no core files changed, no tables, no settings.
Fixed
- Option Name and Option Value now search by name. On a store with two options both called "Size:", or with "1 inch" saved as several different option values, each list showed the duplicates separately with nothing to tell them apart, and choosing one found only part of the rows. Now each name shows once and finds every matching row: choosing Size: and 1 inch brings up every product's 1-inch row, whichever option and value records they use.
- Choosing an option value under "All Option Names" picks its option name too, so the search means "Size: 1 inch" rather than "1 inch" under any option.
Links and bookmarks from v3.0.0 that name a single option or value ID still work; the list shows them as "(IDs n)".
Upgrading: copy zc_plugins/QuickAttributePriceUpdate/v3.0.1/ beside v3.0.0 and click Upgrade in Plugin Manager. Nothing else changes: no new settings, no database changes.
Tested on Zen Cart 1.5.8a, 2.0.1, 2.1.0, 2.2.2, 2.3 and 3.0.0-dev, upgrading from v3.0.0 through Plugin Manager. The automated checks run on PHP 7.4 through 8.5.
Quick Attribute Price Update v3.0.0
Quick Attribute Price Update v3.0.0 (2026-10-24)
First release, numbered 3.0.0 to match its companion, Quick Price Update. For Zen Cart 1.5.8a through 3.0.0 on PHP 7.4 through 8.5. No core files are changed, and it adds no tables and no settings.
What it does
- Catalog > Quick Attribute Price Update: find attribute prices across all your products by product ID or ID ranges (
12, 15, 40-55), by category with or without its subcategories, by option name and option value, by product name or model, and by product status. "Priced Rows Only" hides rows with no price. Sort products and page the results (25, 50, 100 or 200 rows per page). - Grouped by product: each product's rows sit under a line with its base price, its "Starting at" price, and links to edit the product, open it in the Attributes Controller, or change its base price in Quick Price Update (when installed).
- Edit in the table: change the prefix (+, - or blank), the price and the one-time price; changed rows are highlighted and counted. One Save Changes writes only those rows.
- Checked before writing: prices take up to 4 decimal places and can't be negative (the
-prefix subtracts).1,234.50is understood;12,50is refused rather than misread. A row that fails comes back highlighted with what was typed. - No overwrites: a row that changed elsewhere after the page loaded is skipped and reported.
- Storefront stays right: for every product a save touches, Zen Cart's price-sort value is refreshed (storefront price sorting and "Starting at" prices) and its last-modified date is stamped, once.
- Notes: Free, Display Only, Default, Not Discounted, Not in Base Price, Price Factor, Quantity Prices, Word or Letter Pricing, and a minus price on a priced-by-attributes product. Products whose own price is 0 but which aren't priced by attributes are flagged.
- Attributes Controller link: its action menu gets "Quick Attribute Price Update: This Product" (or "This Category"), shown only to admins allowed on the page.
- For add-ons: five notifiers let another plugin add actions, search fields or search conditions, or react to each saved row and to each save.
Tested on Zen Cart 1.5.8a, 2.0.1, 2.1.0, 2.2.2, 2.3 and 3.0.0-dev. The automated checks run on PHP 7.4 through 8.5.
