Releases: dbltoe/Subscriptions
Release list
Subscriptions v1.0.1
Fixed
- Upgrading from an earlier version in Plugin Manager no longer stops with "Cannot redeclare class". The Upgrade runs the new version's installer in an admin request that already holds the installed version's classes, loaded from that version's folder, so every require of a plugin class now happens only when the class isn't loaded yet. Upgrading from 1.0.0 to this version already works because of it. Nothing else changed: no settings, data or emails.
Upgrade in Plugin Manager: upload the v1.0.1 folder beside v1.0.0, click Upgrade, then Upgrade again on the confirmation screen.
Subscriptions v1.0.0
The first release of Subscriptions for Zen Cart: sell products as subscriptions, with renewals that work with every payment module.
Runs on Zen Cart 1.5.8a, 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 and 3.0.0, PHP 7.4 through 8.5. Encapsulated: no core or template files are changed.
What it does
- Product setup: a Subscription panel on the product edit page (off, optional or required), the intervals offered, a subscribe-and-save discount and an optional number of deliveries.
- Product page: a Delivery choice (One-Time Purchase, Every 2 Weeks, Every Month...) that every template shows without edits.
- Checkout: a required consent checkbox with your subscription terms, saved with each subscription; subscriptions need a customer account; a signup email repeating the terms.
- My Subscriptions: Renew Now, skip, pause, resume, change interval or quantities, cancel.
- Renewals by pay link: an hourly scheduler emails a Renew Now link before each delivery. It fills the cart and the customer checks out as usual. Nothing is charged automatically. Three missed renewals in a row pause the subscription.
- Customers > Subscriptions: search, filters, the full history and consent record, admin actions, and the scheduler's status with a Run Renewals Now button.
- Preview Email: all five emails are listed under Subscriptions in the free Preview Email plugin.
Install
Download subscriptions_v1.0.0.zip, upload zc_plugins/Subscriptions into your store's zc_plugins folder, and install it in Modules > Plugin Manager. Then set up the hourly scheduler: the command is on Customers > Subscriptions. Full instructions are in readme.html in the download.
Automatic charging of a saved card is planned for a paid add-on, Subscriptions Pro.
