ash turns plain English into the right shell command using an on-device Apple Intelligence model. Safe commands run automatically; risky ones are shown and copied. Everything runs locally, so nothing leaves your Mac.

Install

Homebrew (recommended, builds from source, no quarantine):

brew install dboeke/tap/ash

Or download the signed binary below. It is signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple, so it runs without Gatekeeper warnings.

unzip ash-0.1.0-macos-arm64.zip
install -m 0755 ash /usr/local/bin/ash

SHA-256: 781c97f3426375e26343feb8e50d3491edae1a6086957ebeeb31f4122766aced

Requirements

  • Apple Silicon Mac, macOS 26+ with Apple Intelligence enabled.
