Audio Resampling Tool (ART) Version 0.6
This version includes endpoint extrapolation that eliminates or reduces the glitches that can occur when consecutive files that contain audio all the way to the endpoints (i.e., gapless) are resampled separately and then rejoined. To accommodate this, a new method is provided to "flush" the resampler to align the output with the input (this used to be done by sending zeros to the resampler when done, but obviously that can no longer work). Provisions were also added to the ARTEST tool to verify the extrapolation. Full changes:
- Endpoint extrapolation added to reduce or eliminate glitches when resampling "gapless" tracks, with option (-x) to disable
- Extended math option (-e) to use doubles instead of floats in convolution (provides a few dB better quality, but can be slow)
- New presets -1, -2, and -3 (the default) providing better quality resampling with a small speed cost (-4 essentially unchanged)
- Simple Makefile generating optimized code for Intel PC (edit as needed for other platforms)
- New API and method for "flushing" the resampling engine
