mboxShell v1.0.0
The first stable release. From here on the command line and the config file follow Semantic Versioning: a breaking change means a new major version.
What's new
- Feature:
mboxshell config [path|show|defaults](#40) prints where the config file is, prints the file (show, aliascat) with a warning for every value it ignores, or prints all the defaults as a commented file. Nothing is written to disk;mboxshell config defaults > "$(mboxshell config path)"gives you a starting point. - Fix: most config options did nothing.
default_sort,sort_order,date_format,layout,show_sidebar,max_cached_messages,csv_separatorandcache_dirnow work. Options that never had any effect ([columns],[performance],message_text_width,default_format,default_output_dir) are gone, and an old file that still has them loads fine. - Fix: invalid values are reported on stderr and fall back to their defaults instead of being ignored in silence; a bad
date_formatno longer crashes the TUI. - Docs: on macOS the config file is
~/Library/Application Support/mboxshell/config.toml, not~/.config/....
