v0.1.2 Release Notes

AgentDroid v0.1.2 fixes Codex MCP installation and cleans up release packaging for MCP-based integrations.

Changes

  • Replaced the outdated Codex /plugins install instructions with the supported codex mcp add flow.
  • Added a new agentdroid_mcp server module for Codex/Gemini MCP usage.
  • Fixed the MCP module naming conflict with the official Python mcp SDK package.
  • Updated .mcp.json and gemini-extension.json to launch agentdroid_mcp.server.
  • Fixed Poetry editable install packaging by explicitly including the project’s top-level packages.
  • Added agentdroid_mcp/ to packaged release files.
  • Aligned plugin and MCP server metadata versions to 0.1.2.

Verification

Validated locally:

  • Editable install works with .venv/bin/pip install -e .
  • agentdroid_mcp.server imports successfully
  • MCP server files pass Python compile checks
  • Codex MCP registration shows agentdroid as enabled
