Assignment 7 Submission
Assignment 7 - Demo 4 Release Summary
Overview of This Release
Demo 4 marks the alpha validation phase for RailGuard. Building on the backend workflow automation pivot from Demo 3, this release focuses on validating that automating administrative workflows (lab requisitions, monitoring alerts, follow-up tasks) delivers measurable efficiency gains for clinicians. The prototype now supports end-to-end patient-context-driven automation, with internal testing confirming significant reductions in manual effort and task time.
Issue Summary
-
Added Alpha Validation, Feature Lock, and Architecture Artifacts: #74, #75, #77, #78, #79
-
Strategic Focus: Backend Workflow Automation
- Validated patient-context-driven automation for lab requisitions and monitoring
- Demonstrated measurable reductions in task time and workflow steps
- Maintained narrow feature scope for maximum impact
-
Implemented Core Alpha Features:
- End-to-end workflow execution with no placeholders
- Administrative artifact generation and clinician approval
-
Established Validation Framework & Kill Metrics:
- Decided on GO decision based on validation evidence
- Gained EPIC Frontend Access
Retrospective
Sprint completed as planned. All alpha validation, feature lock, and architecture documentation delivered on schedule.
In Progress
As of now, all tasks are wither completed, or in ready state for the next sprint.
Future Plan
- Complete Epic integration
- Refine Existing Features
- Optimize Workflow
Assignment 6 Submission
Overview of This Release
Demo 3 marks a critical strategic inflection point for RailGuard Health. After validating core FHIR integration and documentation capabilities in Demo 2, we conducted a comprehensive competitive analysis against leading AI scribe solutions (Abridge, Suki, Heidi Health, and Scope Health). This analysis revealed a significant market gap: no existing competitor automates patient-context-driven administrative workflows. This release pivots our value proposition from documentation assistance to backend workflow
automation, specifically automating lab requisitions, monitoring alerts, and follow-up procedures based on real-time patient context.
We implemented a working prototype that demonstrates context-aware requisition auto-fill and validated our differentiation hypothesis through internal testing. The kill metrics framework established in this sprint will determine whether we persevere with this automation-first strategy or pivot by March 26th, 2026.
Issue Summary
