Installation

1. Download the .vsix file from this release
2. Open VSCodium
3. Go to Extensions view (Ctrl+Shift+X)
4. Click "..." menu → Install from VSIX...
5. Select the downloaded .vsix file

Important: VSCodium "built-in extension" conflict

Some VSCodium-insiders builds ship a product.json with:

"builtInExtensionsEnabledWithAutoUpdates": ["GitHub.copilot-chat"]

VS Code treats every ID in this list as a built-in, product-shipped extension. The extension scanner applies the rule "this ID is already part of the product → ignore the user-installed copy". Consequence: the VSIX extracts fine into data/extensions, but on every scan the installed copy is silently dropped from the extension list, and both the CLI and the UI fail with:

ScanningExtension: Cannot read the extension from <extension-folder>

Fix: remove "GitHub.copilot-chat" from that list in <VSCodium>\resources\app\product.json:

"builtInExtensionsEnabledWithAutoUpdates": []
