Summary

Daily docs review for release v4.172.0 (previous: v4.171.1), range v4.171.1...v4.172.0.

Compare: v4.171.1...v4.172.0

Note: This PR is branched from docs/auto-update-2026-08-04-release-4.171.1 (#5689), the most recent open docs auto-update PR at the time of this run, to avoid merge conflicts. Please merge #5689 first, then this one.

Commits reviewed

  • Warranted a docs change: 139ce7a — feat(task-board): task comments, persisted (feat(task-board): task comments, persisted #5688). Adds a persisted comment feature to Task Board cards: one level of replies, resolve/unresolve on the thread root, scoped per organization. (Note: the shipped version dropped @-mentions and the subscribe toggle from the original UI-only draft, since neither had a backend to make them meaningful — docs reflect only what shipped.)
  • ⏭️ Skipped: 6df58ce[chore]: bump homebrew cask to 4.171.1 — release automation, no user-facing change.
  • ⏭️ Skipped: 7f9e053[release]: bump changed workspace versions — version bump only.

Commits reviewed: 3 (1 warranted a doc change, 2 skipped)

Files changed

  • en/studio/task-board.mdx — added a "Comments" section documenting threaded, persisted comments (one level of replies, resolve/unresolve).
  • pt-br/studio/task-board.mdx — translated the same section.

Consistency notes

  • concepts.mdx and architecture.mdx reference Task Board only in passing (a cross-link and an unrelated sandbox note) — no changes needed there.
  • No built-in-tools.mdx file exists in this repo's docs tree, so the new TASK_BOARD_COMMENT_* tools were not added to a tools reference page. Flagging in case such a page is added later.

Translation

pt-br content was auto-translated; product terms (agent, task, comment, thread) and UI labels kept in English where the UI itself is in English.

Summary by cubic

Daily docs update for v4.172.0. Adds Task Board docs with threaded, persisted comments and automated reviewers, and updates architecture, agents, connections, and self‑hosting guides.

  • New Features

    • Task Board: new page; threaded comments with one level of replies and resolve/unresolve; QA Agent and Code Reviewer with optional auto-merge; “Ship to production” when reviews pass.
    • Agents: “Files and skills” attachments with a 25MB cap and warning; repo picker shows forks and enforces GitHub App access.
    • Studio Native: choose a coding-agent terminal per brand-new thread (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode); reclaim local worktree on archiving the last thread on a branch. CMS: optional tooltip layout for field descriptions. Decopilot: “Requires action” is set only by pending tool calls, not text heuristics.
  • Self-hosting & Infra

    • Auth: configuration is AUTH_* env vars only; added docs for Google/GitHub login, email providers, magic link, and email OTP. Compose and Kubernetes guides updated.
    • Architecture: desktop tier removed from flow; documented hosted-run harnesses — default Decopilot and opt-in claude-code running inside the sandbox pod; clarified NATS live-tail role.
    • Kubernetes: added sandbox-daemon OTLP metrics opt-in and guidance on using a collector ClusterIP; sandbox is Go-only (ghcr.io/decocms/studio/studio-sandbox-go) with updated values.
    • Connections: block private/internal-network URLs at creation and health checks.

Written for commit 47356c7. Summary will update on new commits.
