Reitti v5.3.1 Release Notes

Following the release of v5.3.0, I’m releasing a targeted stability and performance patch: Reitti v5.3.1.
This update solves a critical performance bottleneck during data imports on lower-power hardware and brings our French translation back to complete completion!
Key Improvements & Bug Fixes
1. Major Performance Fix for GPX Imports & Database Load
If you imported large GPX files or had continuous tracking running on slower machines (like mini PCs, NAS setups, or Raspberry Pis), you might have noticed imports slowing down or the database getting bogged down.

What was happening: Whenever Reitti received a batch of points (either 1,000 points or after 5 seconds of inactivity), it recalculated trip data within a fixed window of
$\pm 24$ hours around those points. On modest hardware, that recalculation could take longer than 5 seconds. As new data kept arriving, recalculation tasks piled up into an overwhelming backlog and clogged the database. -
The fix: Reitti now uses a focused sliding window of
$\pm 50$ points instead of a fixed 24-hour time range. This dramatically speeds up calculation times, prevents job pile-ups, and is vastly lighter on your server’s CPU and memory.
2. Workbench Point Editing Fix
- Fixed an issue where moving or editing points inside the Workbench tool would fail if the Spatial Coverage feature was disabled in your configuration. You can now adjust points smoothly regardless of your coverage settings.
3. 🇫🇷 French Translation is Back to 100%!
A massive shout-out to our incredible community translators on Hosted Weblate: the French translation is officially back to 100% completion!
