FingerprintLauncher v1.0.0

The first public release of FingerprintLauncher.

FingerprintLauncher turns Windows Hello fingerprint scans into customizable action sequences. Assign one or more actions to a finger, activate scanning with a global hotkey, and let the application execute the configured actions in order.

Themes

Six interface themes are included:

  • Light
  • Dark
  • Onyx
  • Graphite
  • Blue Gradient
  • Purple Gradient

Each theme is applied consistently across the main window, fingerprint wizard, action picker, status page, settings, tray controls, and scan notifications.

Privacy

FingerprintLauncher relies on Windows Hello and the Windows Biometric Framework for fingerprint recognition.

The application does not store raw fingerprint images or biometric templates. Finger identifiers, action configurations, preferences, and activity data are stored locally on the computer.

Requirements

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11
  • A Windows Hello-compatible fingerprint reader
  • At least one fingerprint enrolled in Windows Hello

Installation

  1. Download FingerprintLauncher_Setup_1.0.0.exe from this release.
  2. Run the installer.
  3. Open FingerprintLauncher.
  4. Configure the scan hotkey in Settings.
  5. Add a finger and assign one or more actions.

The installer removes application files, startup entries, shortcuts, and related installation data during uninstallation.

Important

This release is currently not digitally code-signed. Windows SmartScreen may display an Unknown publisher warning.

Download FingerprintLauncher only from this official GitHub repository. Do not ignore an explicit antivirus detection without first verifying the file source and checksum.
