This PR modifies comments, errors, and variables to use the spelling for marshal/unmarshal with a single l. This is because of spelling choices for Go https://github.com/golang/go/wiki/Spelling:

use marshaling, marshaled etc (single ell). See https://go.dev/cl/33017
