Yesterday, while using DeepSeek in a conversation, I encountered a strange bug. After the normal conversation ended, I closed the DeepSeek app. However, the AI continued to "talk" to itself in the background. When I opened the app again later, I found that it had sent many emojis on its own. When I scrolled up to check, I saw messages like: There was also a lot of other nonsense. After saying these things, it just started sending emojis endlessly. It was really creepy and strange. I hope this can be fixed soon! |

Hi @XueGao5155 — this looks like a report about the DeepSeek app itself (the agent keeps talking and sending emojis after you close it), not about dsh-progress-viz. This discussion is for my open-source plugin, so the app bug will reach the right team through DeepSeek's official support channel instead. For anyone else landing here: dsh-progress-viz visualizes headless dsh task progress — live stage, ETA and estimated cost — from the local session event stream. 100% local, no API calls. Feedback very welcome! |

Hi @XueGao5155 — no worries at all, easy to mix up when you're new to open source :) For DeepSeek app bugs, the most direct route is the in-app feedback: open the DeepSeek app, go to Settings (设置), and look for the "Feedback / 意见反馈" entry — that goes straight to their team. If you're using the web version, there's usually a feedback option in the chat UI as well. Small tip from a fellow open-source beginner: when you find the right channel, include the app version + device model + screenshots like you did here — that's already better than most bug reports! Good luck with your open source journey, we all started where you are now 🐳 |

Now I’m wondering if you’ve seen my reply. If you have, please reply with “OK”.

Hi @XueGao5155 — so sorry for the late reply! I'm a high school student and I've been at school all week, so I only just saw your message. Yes, I did see your reply — thank you for being patient! 👌 Your bug report was already well-formed (app version + device + screenshots is exactly the right way to do it). Hope you enjoy your open source journey! |

Headless mode prints only the final answer, so during a long run you can't tell whether the task is stuck, which stage it's on, or how long is left — I hit this within my first couple of days using dsh. So I built dsh-progress-viz: it reads the local session event stream (
session.jsonl.zstd) and shows live stage progress, ETA, estimated cost, and a multi-task grid. Two forms:
dsh-progress-viz-plugin): listens to session events in real time, writesprogress.jsonfor the dashboard to pick updashboard.py): parses the zstd stream directly, auto-falls back when the plugin isn't mounted100% local, no API calls, no tokens consumed. MIT.
Repo: https://github.com/2008924/dsh-progress-viz — feedback very welcome!
Update (Aug 17): now listed in the official awesome-dsh-plugin registry (Development & Runtime category) — the official plugin market (dsh-market) and the Chinese DSH Market (searchable here) pick it up automatically. One-line install:
