Web UI: chat composer disappears after pressing Backspace

Summary

In the Web UI, pressing Backspace in the chat composer causes the composer to disappear. After that, typed characters are not rendered, so it is no longer possible to see or enter a message.

Steps to reproduce

1. Start the Web UI with dsh web.
2. Open http://127.0.0.1:3080/.
3. Focus the chat input and type text.
4. Press Backspace.

Expected behavior

The composer should stay visible and delete the previous character. Further typing should be visible and accepted.

Actual behavior

The chat composer disappears after Backspace. Subsequent typed text is not displayed.

Additional findingnnThis issue appears to reproduce only in Google Chrome. The same chat-input workflow works normally in other browsers tested by the reporter.

thanks for the update , i only just installed it and had text issues right away , thanks to your comment soon as i loaded in firefox the issue was gone !

Yes, I am getting the same issue in google chrome too. Additionally even if the text input appears. only the first char shows and the rest are hidden. The input text also appears garbled.
