v2.1.5 — created-depth surface export (Chrome 10-bit fix), libva auto-detect on Panthor/Panfrost
v2.1.5 — surfaces described by their created depth (Chrome's 10-bit green); libva finds the driver on Panthor/Panfrost stacks
KI-8 — export before decode. Chrome's VA-API decoder creates a surface, exports it, and only then decodes into it. The driver decided "10-bit or 8-bit" from the last decoded frame, which did not exist yet, so every such export described a 10-bit surface as 8-bit NV12. Chrome imported P010 pixels through that description: garbled frames, then green. A tester's driver log showed it verbatim (11,983 surface creations, zero 10-bit exports). mpv 0.36's stricter format probe hit the same mismatch and fell back to software. Now the surface remembers the depth it was created with (VA_RT_FORMAT_YUV420_10 or a P010 pixel-format attribute) and every description follows it until a frame is decoded; a mismatch at decode time is logged.
Verified with the new tests/va-export-before-decode.c: a 10-bit surface exports as P010 / R16 + GR1616, pitch 2×width, before any decode (v2.1.4 exported NV12 / R8 + GR88). Firefox regression on the release image: 201 ten-bit exports, no mismatch warnings; mpv 0.38 zero-copy unchanged.
KI-9 — libva driver name. libva names the VA driver after the render node's kernel driver. On images whose GPU runs on mainline panthor or panfrost (Armbian vendor kernels with the Panthor backport, kisak Mesa) it looks for panthor_drv_video.so, fails, and mpv/vainfo fall back to software while Firefox still works. The package now ships panthor_drv_video.so and panfrost_drv_video.so symlinks to the driver. The manual equivalent on any version is LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME=rockchip.
Unchanged: 10-bit zero-copy (v2.1.3), Main10 / High10 / VP9 P2 advertised, RKVA_HIDE_10BIT=1, surface pool 128 (v2.1.4), the H.264 PPS fix (v2.1.2).
