QuickFolder v0.2.1

Universal Shell Integration

  • Context menu entry In neuen Ordner verschieben... / Move to new folder... is now explicitly registered across:
      • (any file type: documents, archives, videos, audio, executables, source code, images, etc.)
    • Directory (file system folders)
    • Folder (all folder namespaces)
    • AllFilesystemObjects (mixed multi-selections of files and folders)
  • Guarantees the command appears universally in Windows Explorer on any file or directory selection without restriction.

QuickFolder v0.2.0

What's New:

  • Recent Folders History (MRU): Quick access to the 6 most recently used folder names directly above the input field. Click any button to re-use or edit the folder name.
  • Trash Bin Button (🗑): Convenient button to clear folder history at any time.
  • Silent Folder Merge: If the target folder already exists in the same parent directory, files are moved directly into it without extra prompts.
  • Conflict Resolution & Auto-Rename: If colliding files exist in the target folder, a dialog offers Auto-rename (adds sequential numbers: \ ile (2).jpg, \ ile (3).jpg) or Overwrite.
  • 100% Native Win32 C++20: Zero external runtimes, Per-Monitor v2 High-DPI aware, fully compatible with Windows 10 & 11.

QuickFolder v0.1.0

Lightweight, high-performance native Windows utility to quickly move selected files into a new folder directly from the Windows Explorer context menu ("In neuen Ordner verschieben..." / "Move to new folder...").

Features

  • Native Explorer Context Menu: Out-of-process COM Local Server (IExecuteCommand / IShellItemArray). Explorer never crashes, freezes, or locks files.
  • Robust File Operations: Powered by Windows Shell IFileOperation with collision UI ("Replace / Skip / Keep both"), progress feedback, and Windows Explorer Undo (Ctrl+Z).
  • High-DPI & Dark Mode: Full Per-Monitor v2 DPI scaling (tested crisp at 100%, 125%, 150%, 200%) and automatic Windows Dark Mode (DWMWA_USE_IMMERSIVE_DARK_MODE).
  • Safety First: Rejects multi-parent selections (Search Results / Libraries), validates folder names against DOS reserved names and illegal characters, preserves shortcut files (.lnk / .url), and prevents recursive self-moves.
