Changelog

Library:

  • Breaking: RepublicanDate methods have been renamed for improved consistency.
  • Streamlined behaviour for complementary days to match normal days for a cleaner interface.
  • Time represented as a decimal number (e.g. 0,84365 instead of 8:43:65) available through the decimal property of DecimalTime objects, or the %D format placeholder.
  • Format placeholders for capitalization of month and day names.
  • Default formatting can be set using environment variables.

CLI:

  • Breaking: converting a specific date and time has moved from a positional argument to -i / --input.
  • -u / --utc-offset option for using the current time with a specified offset from UTC.
  • -f / --format without an argument will print a table of available format placeholders.

Bugs:

  • Fixed issue when providing "aware" time objects to DecimalTime.from_standard_time().
  • Fixed roman numerals for years far in the future.
