MatrixOne Agent Skill v0.1.0

An open-source, instruction-only skill for proposing and reviewing MatrixOne data changes before authorized promotion.

Download and install

Download matrixone-safe-data-changes-v0.1.0.zip, verify it against SHA256SUMS, and inspect the instructions. For Codex, put the extracted folder at .agents/skills/matrixone-safe-data-changes/ in your project. Then invoke $matrixone-safe-data-changes.

The package includes the skill, Codex UI metadata, SQL workflow, production-gate guidance, review-report template and MIT license. It requires your own MatrixOne instance and an existing MySQL-compatible client or database tool. No dedicated MCP server, automatic connection, executable installer or runtime telemetry is included.

Workflow

Isolated task branch → frozen proposal → full validation → approved rows → separate authorized merge → post-merge reconciliation.

The skill describes how to keep proposal credentials separate from production and merge credentials. Permissions and an operator/execution service must enforce those boundaries. Logical branches do not isolate compute resources or guarantee production availability. MatrixOne workspace merges do not automatically publish to an external system of record.

The SQL guidance draws on the documented 10M-row experiment using 20 Codex-authored plans. That synthetic experiment demonstrated native database operations, not a complete production authorization boundary.

Distribution measurement

GitHub's asset download count is public and shown on the website, with caching. It counts requests, including repeats, automation and verification downloads. It does not identify unique users, installations, successful runs or active deployments. Users can voluntarily share a public experience report without private data.
