DiskManager v0.3.0

First public release — a native macOS app to compare, sync and clean up two storage locations (external drives, local folders, or any two folders). Bilingual UI (Traditional Chinese / English).

Features

Sync

• Three modes: Mirror (make B match A) / Difference (clear out what B has but A doesn't) / Union (fill in both sides, newer version wins)
• Fixed layout: target space A (never modified) → operated space B; a "Swap" button reverses direction without rescanning
• Preview before running: tree diff list, storage visualization, automatic block when space is insufficient
• Safety: extra or replaced files are archived to _DiskManager_Archive/ by default, atomic overwrites, metadata preserved, exFAT compatible

Cleanup

• Regenerable FCP / iMovie media, disk images, system clutter (including ._ AppleDouble files), thumbnail caches
• Duplicate file (head/tail fingerprint) and similar folder detection
• Two-level category → subcategory selection; one-click cache cleanup
• Reports export to JSON / TSV

AI analysis

• Chat panel on the right with Claude or GPT (bring your own API key, stored in the Keychain)
• Attach the current sync plan or cleanup report in one click

Install

1. Download DiskManager-0.3.0.zip, unzip it and drag DiskManager.app into Applications
2. This build is not notarized by Apple: on first launch, right-click the app › Open, or run
   xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/DiskManager.app
3. Enable DiskManager under System Settings › Privacy & Security › Full Disk Access

Requirements: macOS 14 or later, Apple Silicon (arm64).
