The first public version of battler: make your AI subscriptions debate each other, then judge each other blind.

battler web app demo

Highlights

  • Debates on the subscriptions you already have. Claude (Claude Code), GPT (Codex CLI), Grok (Cursor CLI) and, optionally, Gemini (Gemini CLI), through their official CLIs. API keys are stripped, so nothing is billed per token.
  • Blind, fair judging. Shuffled "Debater A/B/C" labels, a judge panel where nobody scores itself, and scores computed from a fixed checklist (accuracy, reasoning, engagement, calibration).
  • Web app: battler serve for live progress, verdicts, scorecards, history and follow-ups in your browser (and on your phone with --lan).
  • Terminal: battler "your question", with short / medium / long battles, follow-ups (battler continue), Markdown and JSON output.
  • Chrome extension (beta): runs battles in your own ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor tabs, or in copy & paste mode. Download battler-extension-0.1.0.zip below and load it unpacked.
  • battler setup checks your AI CLIs and helps install and sign in, asking before each step.

Install

npm install -g battler
battler setup

macOS and Node.js 22+. You need at least two of the AI CLIs signed in with a subscription, or just Cursor.
