Version 1.0 beta 1

This is the first open beta for derekyt.dev.

Note: This isn't a definitive list of changes. There's more, but what's listed here is the most significant.

Changes in this beta:

Home
• Background images now preload.
• New background image specifically for mobile (max-width: 600px).

Projects
• Project links have been completely overhauled, with a new design and unique backgrounds. Links to releases (see "Releases" below) for each project were also added.
• New background images in light and dark mode, both for desktop (min-width: 601px) and mobile (max-width:600px).

Updates
• Removed all updates and the layout test, as they aren't applicable anymore.
• Replaced previous updates with a general page description.

Releases
• Release pages for a considerable amount of my project versions are now available. I'm still working through the entire list, but most versions over the last couple months are there.

• Experiment: Inter font now comes from the creator directly, rather than Google Fonts.
• Added 150px requirement for widths and heights of images.
• Experiment: Layout with image and text beside each other. Test for 7/7 releases changes.

Assets
• Added a project-graphics folder. More folders coming soon.
• Added Apple beta timelines graphics in light and dark mode for layout test in Updates.

Version 0.5 beta 2

This is the first closed beta of my website, now available to members of my Discord server!

Changes in this beta:
• Updated the light mode background image.
• Removed padding from labels, in favor of margins.
• Labels now use a smaller font size.
• Unboldened "Caution" and "Important update" from labels.
• Moved 0.5 beta 1 into a new list, after it was mistakenly put in 0.4's beta list.
• Added code in preparation for future betas.
• Modified the disclaimer regarding AI use.
• Added date and time metadata for the first update on the Updates page.

Changes in this beta:
• Increased the font size of "Welcome!" from 36px to 48px.
• Added a missing space after the "Projects" hyperlink in my bio.
• Fixed an issue where the light mode profile photo wouldn't appear on Android devices due to an incompatible file type. (shoutout to @SadLinusGuy0 (thatjoshguy69 on X) for discovering this)
• Hid "Blog" link from nav bar on the Projects and 404 pages.

Changes in this beta:
• Removed the script that randomizes the background image upon refresh, in favor of adaptive theme switching.
• Removed the Blog link in the navigation bar. This will return at a later date.
• Removed the PIN authentication test, as it makes examining changes post-commit more difficult.
• Adjusted opacities for links.
• Added necessary code in preparation for future betas.
• Edited bio to reference my projects. Removed references to course on coding with HTML and CSS.
