Fixes

  • FlashHelper::__call now rejects the literal transient() call (no type suffix), matching FlashComponent. Previously this slipped through as type => '' and rendered element flash/.
  • FlashHelper::_mergeOptions strips a leading flash/ before re-prefixing, so callers passing a stored options array with 'element' => 'flash/error' no longer get flash/flash/error on the second pass.
  • FlashHelper::transientMessage uses a while-loop to trim the session stack instead of a single array_shift, so an over-limit stack (e.g. after limit was lowered) is brought back to size in one call. Mirrors the equivalent fix in FlashComponent.

Improvements

  • Typed array|string|null signatures on FlashHelper::message(), transientMessage(), and _mergeOptions() — symmetry with FlashComponent (PHPStan level 8 clean).
  • Replace strpos($name, 'transient') === 0 with str_starts_with and require PHP 8.2+ (was 8.1).
