Whats New in v2.3.7

Disk Info Tab -- Improved Detail Panel

  • Correct naming: Disk Name (SCSI vendor/product/revision), Partition Name (unmounted), Volume Name (mounted). Section headers: Disk Details / Partition Details.
  • Unmounted partitions: Clicking an unmounted partition now shows its DOS device name, size from RDB/DosEnvec geometry (no mount required), and filesystem type. Previously showed a blank panel.
  • Underscore sanitization: Volume/partition names with underscores shown with spaces.
  • DOS type display fix: 4th byte shown as printable ASCII where applicable (e.g. SWAP instead of SWA/50).

Other Improvements

  • S.M.A.R.T. column auto-fit: Attribute Name column auto-expands to show full names.
  • Average method display: Benchmark Control row shows combined label next to Passes count.
  • Bulk tab Settings text: Queue summary includes the averaging method name.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed DSI crash in Disk Info tab. Root cause: WM_RETHINK called from inside WM_HANDLEINPUT caused re-entrant layout pass corrupting gadget render state. Fix: deferred rethink via flag, called safely after WM_HANDLEINPUT returns.

Installation

Extract the archive and run AmigaDiskBench from its icon. Requires AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition.
