Oma Preview 0.9.0

A calmer reader, smoother scrolling, and drafts that remember your work.

• Continuous reading, page jump and highlighted text search.
• Trackpad momentum and pointer-anchored zoom. Rest one or two fingers to pause;
  a quick same-direction scroll continues the glide instead of starting over.
• Drafts save automatically, including up to 100 undo/redo changes. Reopening
  restores your work and reading position. Original PDFs remain untouched.

The accompanying PKGBUILD is pinned to the tagged source archive and SHA-256.
The native input module requires Qt 6.11+. Hold-to-pause depends on compositor
hold-gesture support; detection timing belongs to the compositor/libinput.
Click-to-stop remains available where hold gestures are unsupported.

The isolated 25-check UI suite includes 47 input cases,
draft/undo recovery, bookmarks, search, raster checks and a 2,048-page fixture.
The local Wayland probe confirms hold support without injecting desktop input.
Physical trackpad feel and ARM64 are not established by these automated tests.

Clean Arch build passed.
Fresh installation of this public package passed,
including installed-file integrity, version and all 25 UI regressions.

Reopen existing windows after upgrading. If you used the user-local installer,
its ~/.local/bin/oma-preview can shadow the system package; see the
installation notes.
Omarchy repository inclusion is still under maintainer review.

Oma Preview 0.8.2

Small interface improvements and a fix for blank pages after undo.

• Fix PDF rendering after deleting/restoring pages and rebuilding document history.
• Lazy, collapsible page thumbnails; larger labeled page actions.
• Toolbar groups wrap on narrow windows. Undo/redo use keyboard shortcuts.
• Use Qt Quick file dialogs and reject agent updates while a dialog is open.
• Add offscreen history, dialog and responsive-toolbar regression checks.

The original PDFs remain untouched. Drafts preserve edits; undo history is session-only.

fresh hosted Arch install
and an upgrade on a second physical Omarchy desktop, including installed-file
integrity, offscreen dialogs/history and real Wayland/Vulkan history rendering.
ARM64 remains untested. The Omarchy package submission is still under review.

Oma Preview 0.8.1

Rejects unknown options before launching Qt, and explains missing graphical displays over SSH. Includes six passing Rust/CLI tests. Arch package built locally with dependency and checksum checks. Submitted for Omarchy package review; not yet available in the official repository.

Oma Preview 0.8.0

Folio is now Oma Preview. Includes document undo/redo, renamed CLI and agent skill, and Arch packaging. Existing Folio storage paths are retained to preserve drafts, signatures, bookmarks and recents. Local Rust tests and real W-9 keyboard undo/redo, bookmarking and Recent reopening passed. Undo history is session-only. This remains a prerelease; official Omarchy repository inclusion is pending.

Folio 0.7.0 — Omarchy PDF editor preview

Folio 0.7.0

A small PDF reader and editor for Omarchy: text anywhere, reusable signatures,
page assembly, bookmarks, drafts, and visible agent review.

This release adds persistent Recent files, reliable live agent updates with
state readback, draft recovery, contextual editing controls, explicit multiline
text, resize handles, live theme updates, and pinch-to-zoom.

Install on Arch / Omarchy

Download folio-pdf-0.7.0-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst from this release, then install it:

sudo pacman -U ./folio-pdf-0.7.0-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst

Dependencies are resolved by pacman. If you previously used install.sh, run
the repository's uninstall.sh first so the old user-local binary does not
shadow the system package. PDF defaults are optional and are not changed by
the package:

xdg-mime default org.omarchy.folio.desktop application/pdf

The AUR recipe and .SRCINFO are attached; AUR publication is pending maintainer
account setup. omarchy pkg aur add folio-pdf will work only after that upload.
The recipe supports aarch64 source builds, but this release only supplies and
tests the x86_64 binary package.

Validation

Clean Arch build and tests passed. Desktop tests cover real pointer/keyboard
editing, sizing, multiline text, draft closing, synthetic signatures, pinch,
bookmarks, and reopening from Recent. Tested real PDFs include IRS W-9, the
214-page Bash manual, and NASA's 16 MB annual report, plus a synthetic
2,140-page stress document. All 27 native W-9 fields survive export.

Typical first visible page: 0.46–0.70 seconds on the test machine. An initial
cold IRS run took 11.9 seconds; subsequent runs were below 0.55 seconds. Sampled
page turns were 68–243 ms. See tests/RESULTS.md for scope and methodology.

Current boundaries

Folio fills using overlays, not native form-value editing. Use Shift+Enter for
line breaks. Undo, automatic wrapping, search/copy, rotation and printing are
not yet implemented. Agent edits replace the full proposal; read folio status
and preserve user corrections before updating. Export and signing remain under
the user's control. External account connectors belong to the agent host.
