Feature_Request: auto_mute "default"

Live View plays sound all the time by default.

I would like to have it muted by default, until actually selected.

How is what you're proposing different from what is already implemented? See auto_mute. Or is it not working?

i double checked;

it's only muted by choosing

when choosing

it's not muted

I cannot reproduce this, and auto_unmute appears to work just fine for me with the default live provider. It's possible this issue has been fixed or improved by #1934 which is already available in the latest card release.

Can you confirm if you still have this issue?

@dermotduffy - is there an option to mute a camera by default when using the default provider? (not WebRTC Card)

I see the 3 options for auto_mute but it seems like we need a 4th option called "selected" or simply "default".

I see the "muted" option when using a webrtc_card as the provider, but I am using the "ha" provider.

I also tried this to no avail:

It seems to me the default behavior changed to "unmuted" in the past several months. Previously, streams were muted by default when selected - which was the desired behavior for my use case.

Lastly, this is in my card config but doesn't seem to be working.
