in 1.3.0, bugs were fixed and new features added:

Fixed bugs

  • When sounds fail to load, instead of printing stuff to the terminal where the user isn't ever going to see it, error dialogs will now show when loading fails.
  • Mentions sometimes wouldn't announce to Orca because of how the config was being handled.
  • Spell checking should now work with gspell. If it's not installed or it can't be loaded, the client won't use it.

New features

  • Scrollback support, default is 1000 messages. This should reduce lag when navigating between channels, as before the messages used to just build and build and build. Set to 0 to disable completely.
  • Added a logging system. Each day you get a new log file for the channel, and each server has logs in a user defined folder. You have to enable logging on a per server basis.
