Troubleshooting

Common issues and their solutions.

Boot & Crash Issues

Game won't boot / crashes immediately:
- Ensure the title UPDATE is installed. Some base v1.0.0 games fail to boot until their update is added.
- Verify the dump isn't corrupt. Re-dump if hashes fail.
Black screen at boot:
- Confirm that both keys and firmware are installed correctly.
Heavy game crashes mid-play:
- Keep the default HostMapped memory mode. It is more stable than HostMappedUnsafe.

Performance Issues

Slow first launch:
- The JIT cache (PPTC) is translating code. Subsequent launches of the same game will be significantly faster.

Controls

Controls not responding:
- Ryudeck uses Steam Input. Check the controller layout in Steam to ensure bindings are correct.

Reporting Issues

When filing an issue, please include:

The latest log file from ~/.config/Ryudeck/Logs/.
Do not attach ROMs, keys, or firmware.
