Install

  1. Open the DMG, drag Perch to Applications.

  2. Clear the quarantine flag, because this build is ad-hoc signed rather than
    notarised by Apple:

    xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Perch.app

  3. Launch it. There is no Dock icon and no menu bar item — Perch lives in the
    notch. Right-click the notch for Settings and Quit.

  4. The first screen finds your CLIs and wires them up. Then restart any Claude
    Code session already open     — hooks are read at session start, so a running
    one ignores them and the notch stays empty.

Requires macOS 14+. Universal (Apple Silicon and Intel).
