First public beta

EVOWORKS Control is an independent, community-built Windows companion for supported EVOWORKS keyboards. It is not affiliated with or supported by EVOWORKS, Ticktype, Qwertykeys, VIA, or QMK.

Downloads

  • Installer: EVOWORKS-Control-0.1.0-beta.3-Setup.exe installs the companion for the current Windows user. The installed app can start in the notification area at sign-in.
  • Portable: EVOWORKS-Control-0.1.0-beta.3-Portable.zip needs no installation, does not start with Windows, and closes normally.

Included

  • EVO80 identification for direct USB, 2.4 GHz receiver, and best-effort Bluetooth detection.
  • Verified wired EVO80 VIA V3 keymap, layer, macro, and supported Matrix/Logo lighting controls.
  • Local profiles, application-aware profile switching, tray controls, settings, and local crash diagnostics.
  • No device driver, service, keyboard hook, or telemetry.

Important limitations

  • Keymap and lighting changes are verified only through a direct wired EVO80 VIA connection (36B0:300E).
  • 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth configuration remain intentionally unavailable until their transports are independently verified.
  • The stock firmware does not provide a safe host-readable numeric battery report.
  • Firmware flashing is out of scope for this beta.

Verification

SHA-256 checksums are attached in SHA256SUMS.txt. The installer is currently unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may ask for confirmation.
