minidash 0.7.1, a realtime dashboard for an Apple Silicon Mac.
Install: see docs/deploy.md.
The agent binary is for Apple Silicon Macs. Verify downloads with shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS.
If you download it in a browser, macOS may quarantine it: xattr -d com.apple.quarantine minidash-agent-0.7.1-darwin-arm64.
What's Changed
Fixes

minidash 0.6.2
minidash 0.6.2, a realtime dashboard for an Apple Silicon Mac.
Install: docs/deploy.md
Fixed
- HTTPS over Tailscale took the dashboard down.
deploy/tailscale-https.sh onserved the agent on HTTPS 8787, which takes port 8787 from the agent; after its restart the agent could not bind and kept restarting. The stream is now served on the page's own origin at/wson 443 (wss://<host>/ws), nothing is served on 8787, andonremoves a serve on 8787 left by an older version (ADR 0016). Plain HTTP on the LAN is unchanged.
Pull requests
- #31 fix(deploy): serve the HTTPS stream at /ws on 443, not on the agent port (
hotfix/0.6.2)

Fixed
- CPU card: in a tall card (for example beside a taller GPU card) the chart kept a fixed height and left an empty band under it. Beside the reactor the chart now grows to the row's height.
- CPU reactor: at low load the hexagon outlines were so faint that the fill in a cell's pointed base looked like it spilled between rows. Outlines now stay clearly visible when idle.
Pull requests
- #29 fix(web): grow the CPU chart to the row and keep idle outlines visible (
hotfix/0.6.1)
minidash 0.6.0
minidash 0.6.0, a realtime dashboard for an Apple Silicon Mac.
Spec: spec/0.6.0 · Install: docs/deploy.md
Added
- GPU per process: the process table has a sortable, hideable GPU column: each process's share of GPU time over the last interval, read without root from the IORegistry (
AGXDeviceUserClientaccumulatedGPUTime, ADR 0015). New processes show "–" until a second sample; the list also includes the top processes by GPU. System services such asrunningboarddandWindowServercan carry GPU time on an app's behalf; the card notes this. If the GPU read fails, the table stays and says why. Setting:MINIDASH_PROC_GPU_INTERVAL_MS(0turns it off).
Changed
- CPU card is laid out like the README illustration: on a wide card the total and chart sit left and the per-core reactor right; narrow cards stack the reactor under the chart. The core count moved to the card header; the load average sits under the total.
- Illustrations updated for the new CPU card.

minidash 0.5.2
minidash 0.5.2, a realtime dashboard for an Apple Silicon Mac.
Install: docs/deploy.md
Fixed
- CPU reactor: a cell's fill leaked outside its hexagon as bands between rows. The hexagon clip was applied to the scaled fill itself and was squashed with it; it now sits on an unscaled group, so the level stays inside the cell.
Pull requests
- #21 fix(web): keep the reactor fill inside its hexagon (
hotfix/0.5.2)
minidash 0.5.1
minidash 0.5.1, a realtime dashboard for an Apple Silicon Mac.

Fixed
- The process card, README and docs said macOS does not expose per-process GPU use without root. It does, through the IORegistry (
AGXDeviceUserClientaccumulatedGPUTime). The text now says the GPU column is not built yet; ADR 0014 records the correction. - The README status described 0.3.0; it now reflects the published releases.
Pull requests
- #19 fix: stop claiming per-process GPU use needs root (
hotfix/0.5.1)
minidash 0.5.0
minidash 0.5.0, a realtime dashboard for an Apple Silicon Mac.
Spec: spec/0.5.0 · Install: docs/deploy.md
Added
- CPU reactor: per-core utilisation is shown as a honeycomb of hexagons. Each cell shows its core's load as a rounded percentage and a fill that rises with load, changing colour at 60% and 85%. It works for any core count, fills the spare space in the CPU card, hides core numbers when the card is narrow, and has
Core N: X%text alternatives. Saved layouts keep working; the detail is labelled "Per-core reactor" in Customise.
Changed
- The README illustration shows the CPU reactor.
Process
- Git Flow:
mainholds releases, work integrates ondevelop, and releases and hotfixes come fromrelease/X.Y.Zandhotfix/X.Y.Zbranches. - Merge commits replace squash merging (ADR 0013, superseding the squash-merge part of ADR 0011).
- History renumbered to pre-1.0 versions (0.1.0 to 0.4.1, with 0.2.0 now its own release); the old v1.x tags were removed.

Fixed
- The
0%axis label on every chart was cut in half at the bottom edge; chart padding now follows the label size.
Pull requests
- #13 fix(web): stop the chart clipping its 0% axis label (rebuilt as
hotfix/0.4.1)
minidash 0.4.0
minidash 0.4.0, a realtime dashboard for an Apple Silicon Mac.
Spec: spec/0.4.0 · Install: docs/deploy.md
Added
- HTTPS over Tailscale:
deploy/tailscale-https.sh on|off|statuspublishes the UI (HTTPS 443) and the agent stream (HTTPS 8787) to your tailnet withtailscale serve. Reversible, idempotent, with a dry run; never uses Funnel. Plain HTTP on the LAN keeps working (ADR 0012). - The UI opens its stream with
wss://when the page is HTTPS andws://when it is HTTP. - One-command upgrade:
deploy/upgrade.sh [--host NAME] [--dry-run]builds, copies, installs, rebuilds the UI, then checks the agent, the UI and the live stream, and exits non-zero if any check fails.
Changed
- Deploy, operations, security, configuration and troubleshooting docs cover HTTPS and the upgrade script.
- Spec 0.4.0 is marked implemented; checks that need real hardware, a browser or an account setting are listed as accepted gaps.
Pull requests
- #12 feat: HTTPS over Tailscale and a one-command Mac mini upgrade (spec 0.4.0)
