  • Persistent Thinking & Tool Execution Indicators:
    • Real-time visual feedback remains visible throughout long-running assistant generations, even after introductory text has streamed in and background tools or subagents (such as file creation, web browsing, or image synthesis) are executing.
    • Ongoing Working Indicator: An animated bubble (Thinking & working...) remains rendered beneath partially streamed content as long as the CLI process is active, preventing ambiguity during multi-step tool calls.
    • Header Status Badge: An animated pulsating badge (Thinking & working...) is displayed in the assistant message header during generation and automatically clears when the turn finishes.
    • Generating Input State: The input container displays a subtle accent glow (is-generating) and dynamically updates the placeholder (Sidecar AI is generating a response... (Click ■ to stop)).

Improved

  • Accidental Cancellation Safeguards:
    • Pressing Enter in the chat input while a generation is running preserves your typed text and displays an informative notice rather than prematurely aborting the active turn.
    • Quick action chips are similarly protected against interrupting active generations.
    • Generation cancellation is strictly reserved for clicking the dedicated Stop button (■) or resetting the session.
