PhoneCMD v0.2.4

@devemirbaycan-oss devemirbaycan-oss released this 03 Aug 20:29

What's new in v0.2.4

Localhost preview — view a dev server running on your PC (e.g. localhost:3000) in your phone's real browsers (Chrome, Firefox, …) for true cross-browser testing. Off by default; enable it in the desktop app's Settings, with an optional per-port allow/deny list. Localhost-only and end-to-end encrypted over the existing channel.

Paired-device management — each paired device now has actions in the desktop: favorite (pin), rename, and forget (revoke). Forgetting a device fully revokes its trust, so it must pair again (code + approval). Devices you've paired before now show in the list after a restart, marked online/offline.

Reliability

  • Large responses (like a web page) now stream correctly over remote P2P (data-channel message chunking) — previously they could arrive empty on the remote path.
  • The session stays connected while you switch to another app.

The installer isn't code-signed (this is a free app). Windows will show a "protected your PC" warning the first time — click More info → Run anyway.

v0.2.3

@devemirbaycan-oss devemirbaycan-oss released this 26 Jul 18:29

PhoneCMD Desktop 0.2.3

Host-side reliability fixes (pairs with mobile 1.2.1).

  • A network blip no longer tears down your session. WebRTC drops to a transient disconnected on any hiccup (WiFi↔cellular handoff, ICE re-check) and usually heals on its own. The host now only ends a session on a real failed/closed — no more disconnected · disconnected churn on every blip.

Bundled node-pty native binaries (Electron 32.3.3 / node-pty 1.1.0). Auto-update: existing installs update from latest.yml.
