TaskHero Final Release
In our final release for Task Hero, we made sure that documentation was present throughout our application and working properly when we run cargo doc. Additionally, we ran some unit tests for gamification, so cargo test will show those unit tests and that they all pass thoroughly. We also ran some fuzzing through cargo-fuzz for gamification, as well as the main point system. Running cargo fuzz run will run and show the output as it runs through edge cases and such. We double checked that our docker set up worked properly, and have solidified all details for our final release.
TaskHero Release v3
In this release, we focused on getting docker up and running. We successfully implemented docker for our TaskHero application. On top of this, we touched up our source code, including our implementation of customization for users and some small bugs we found. We added documentation for our application and hope to finalize our last version soon.
TaskHero Release v2
In our second release of TaskHero, we have implemented a few key features.
- We have separated our code into two main mods: app.rs and gamification.rs. These are the two files that will be in accordance with one another. App.rs will be the main function for rendering the gui and its components, especially tasks, achievements, challenges, etc. For gamification.rs, this is going to be used for the gamified pieces of our application. We will update these as we go, as some of the features that are currently in app.rs and gamification.rs could switch around or move to other functions/ methods accordingly.
- We have further implementation for the challenges, where users can complete daily challenges and weekly challenges for "reward points." This can change, but it is based on the number of tasks completed per day and once a day for a week.
- We have further implemented statistics on the tasks completed- meaning a report on the completed tasks, what priority level these tasks are, how many are low, medium, high, etc.
- touched up some bugs (ex. we fixed the goal setting section to not allow for bronze number of tasks to be greater than silver, silver greater than gold, etc.)
- Touched up the README.md to reflect this
Please do note, for this release, we were working with dockerfile, but it was not cooperating. This will take further discussion, but dockerfile will be implemented soon in the future.
TaskHero Release v1
For our group project release version v1, we created the basic structure behind TaskHero, a gamified task manager. All of our functionality for this application is defined in our project proposal document submitted to the professor. Some of the basic functionality includes:
- creating and updating tasks
- completing tasks
- deleting all tasks
- Reward system when completing tasks (Bronze, Silver, Gold levels for now) and challenges based on said system
- Customized goal setting
- achievement tracking
To run our application, use the command "cargo build" then "cargo run --release"
