Is there a way to listen for node join/leave events in the cluster?

It looks like ready_notifier is triggered when a node joins.

Quick clarification on the two notifiers:

• ready_notifier() fires when the local node's RPC server is ready to accept
  connections — it is not related to cluster membership changes.
• leader_change_notifier() notifies on leader election changes (who is leader,
  which term), not on node join/leave.

To observe current cluster members, you can call client.list_members() —
but this is a one-shot query, not a subscription.

There is currently no watch API for node join/leave events.
We're tracking this as a future feature. If this is important for your use case :-)

This might be useful for cluster auto-scaling in shard scheduling scenarios. I’m not sure how important it is, so please feel free to evaluate it based on your experience.
