New features

Favorites per playlist

Kboré now supports Favorites. Users can add live channels, radio streams, movies, and VOD items to a dedicated Favorites section.

Favorites are saved locally and are separated by playlist, so each playlist keeps its own favorites list. This avoids mixing channels or VOD items from different providers.

  • Press Y on a playable item to add or remove it from Favorites.
  • Inside the Favorites list, pressing Y removes the item.
  • Favorite items show a filled heart icon.
  • The Favorites section is now available from the root panel with its own icon.

Grid view for item lists

The item/channel list now supports a two-column grid card view.

Each card can show:

  • channel/logo image
  • item title
  • EPG information when available

Press X to switch between list view and grid view.

Playback sleep prevention

When playback is active, Kboré now prevents the console from entering automatic sleep mode.

This only applies during playback. When the user returns to the dashboard, the console keeps its normal sleep behavior.

Audio-only stream support

Radio and audio-only HLS streams are now supported.

If a stream has audio but no video, Kboré plays the audio and shows a static radio background image instead of failing with a “no video stream” error.

Improved stream compatibility

Kboré now handles more stream-opening edge cases, including:

  • HTTPS-to-HTTP fallback when the current FFmpeg build has no HTTPS/TLS support
  • browser-like header retry for streams that reject the default user agent
  • better handling of audio-only playlists
  • clearer unsupported protocol behavior

EPG improvements

Manual EPG time offset

Some IPTV providers send EPG data shifted by several hours. Kboré now includes a manual EPG time offset setting per playlist.

This allows users to correct EPG schedules when the program titles are correct but appear at the wrong time.

Example:

If a morning show appears as:

14:00 - 16:30 Bom Dia Rio

but it should be shown in the morning, the user can set an EPG offset such as:

-7h

Kboré will then apply that offset before matching and displaying EPG information.

The setting is available in:

Settings / About → EPG Time Offset

Controls:

LEFT / RIGHT = adjust by 30 minutes
L / R = adjust by 1 hour
Y = reset offset
UP / DOWN = scroll settings page

The EPG offset is saved per playlist, so different playlists can have different corrections.

EPG display improvements

  • EPG display now uses 24-hour format.
  • EPG matching is date-aware.
  • Current program detection was improved.
  • The app avoids showing old or unrelated EPG entries when they do not match the current time.
  • EPG requests now fetch more items to improve current-program detection.

Usability improvements

Root panel scrolling

The root panel now scrolls correctly when more than four root sections are available.

This fixes the issue where the fifth root item could be hidden after adding Favorites.

Updated Settings screen

The Settings/About screen was reorganized.

  • EPG Time Offset is now the first section.
  • The page is scrollable.
  • Text now fits better inside the background panel.
  • Footer controls were updated to avoid overlapping content.

Footer information fixes

The dashboard footer now updates page and loaded item information more reliably, especially when browsing dynamic playlist nodes.

Faster list navigation

Added quick skipping in item lists:

R = skip forward 10 items
L = skip backward 10 items

Fixes

  • Fixed several EPG timeline issues.
  • Fixed EPG AM/PM inversion by displaying EPG in 24-hour format.
  • Fixed audio-only stream failure when no video stream is present.
  • Improved stream fallback behavior for some HTTP/HLS servers.
  • Improved Settings screen layout and scrolling.
