@devilofhell devilofhell released this 30 May 18:17

Image to Use: https://hub.docker.com/r/559rvsuq/heic-converter

in this update brings 2 improvements:

  1. File Ownership
    The new .jpg file now automatically changes to the same owner as the .heic source file, no changes needed.

  2. Target Folder
    It is now possible to define a target folder, so the converted files are not stored in the same folder as the .heic files.
    A new environment variable is set by default, and this should also be opened to the host with a volume.
    If you do not want to use the target folder, keep the environment variable "TARGET" empty ("")

Note: The target folder keeps the same folder structure as your WATCH folder structure, and creates the folder if needed (and changes the owner of the folder to the same owner of the source file, too!)

example:
/opt/data/iPhone/2024/04/abc.heic -> /opt/target/iPhone/2024/04/abc.jpg

the target folder might be some other place on you NAS
Source Volume: "/homes//Photos/MobileBackup/" mounted to "/opt/data/"
Target Volume: "/homes//Drive/Pictures/" mounted to "/opt/data/"

Means your .jpg files will be here:
Source: /homes//Photos/MobileBackup/iPhone/2024/04/abc.jpg
Target: /homes//Drive/Pictures/iPhone/2024/04/abc.jpg
