Version 1.8.0
Full-site backups and one-click restore
Added
- Full-site backups. The database plus all of
wp-content(themes, plugins, must-use plugins, languages; uploads optional) andwp-config.php/.htaccess. Choose Full site or Database only per backup, or set the default for scheduled backups in the site's settings. - One-click restore from the site's page in Error-Vault, with Undo for 7 days.
- The database is loaded into temporary tables first, so your live site keeps working while it imports. The site then switches over in one step, with only a brief maintenance page.
- Error-Vault,
wp-config.php, your site address and WordPress core are always kept. Update core afterwards if the backup is old. - Backups made by this site restore straight away. Older backups, or ones this site didn't make, need an administrator to click Approve restore in wp-admin.
Fixed
- Database backups made without
mysqldumpdamaged every value containing%(for example "50% off" or encoded URLs). New backups are correct, and restoring an older backup repairs the damage automatically. mysqldumpwarnings could end up inside the database dump.- On a database shared by several sites, backups no longer include the other sites' tables.
- "Include PHP warnings" and "Send immediately" couldn't be switched off in Settings → Error-Vault.
