Version 1.0.0 - Initial Release of TVSniffer

TVSniffer is a new Android library designed to help developers reliably detect if an Android device is a TV.

Key Features:

  • Provides the isTvDevice() method to determine if a device is likely a TV.
  • Combines multiple checks (UI mode, accelerometer, Leanback files, libraries, etc.) for accurate detection.
  • Offers a confidence score to indicate how certain the library is.
  • Allows for custom weighting of the different checks.
  • Returns a TVSnifferResult object with details on the score and confidence.
  • Doesn't need Leanback Library to detect Leanback.

Basic Usage:
kotlin val result = TVSniffer.isTvDevice( context) if (result.tvThresholdMet) { // It's likely a TV! } else { // Probably not a TV }
