v0.6.0 — Codex schema repair

Codex schema repair

Released September 20, 2026. This feature release adds an explicit repair
workflow for changes to the local databases that store Codex session state and
history. Repairs update the recall reader; Codex databases remain read-only.

What's included

• Reviewed support for Codex state migration 55 and history migration 6.
• session-recall-codex-fix for diagnosis, known repairs, experimental AI-assisted
  candidates, human approval, activation and rollback.
• Isolated candidate tests on macOS, strict patch validation and approximate
  32K-token budget blocks with approval for additional blocks.
• Rebuilt 0.6.0 readers, preserved 0.5.1 readers, and an explicit upgrade path.
• A dated problem/solution explanation and ASCII flow at the top of the README,
  plus the standalone versioned diagram and updated installation guides.
• Portable Python 3.10–3.12 CI and dedicated macOS sandbox/lifecycle verification.

Install

Install from the release tag inside a Python 3.10+ virtual environment:

Both Codex commands are included in the base package. See the

Verification and limits

635 release tests passed. Wheel and source-distribution installs, public GitHub
installation, cumulative repair/rollback verification, and hosted Linux/macOS
CI passed.

Live AI generation remains experimental: the first live smoke attempt failed
safely, and successful live generation has not yet been verified. Generated
repairs require review and approval; AI candidate testing requires macOS with a
working OS sandbox. No background auto-repair is enabled.

This is a GitHub-only release. Version 0.6.0 has not been uploaded to PyPI;
an unqualified pip install auto-memory may install an older version.
